Calvert County includes two municipalities, both classified as towns under Maryland law:

Calvert County has been the setting for several movies and television programs.

Stoakley is a small, rural community located in Calvert County, Maryland.

He served as a Burgess for Calvert County from 1663-1669, and again from 1671-1676.

The manor house still stands although, since borders have changed, it is now in Calvert County, Maryland.

To reach the sanctuary from the Washington area take Route 4 to Calvert County.

The light was in good condition, with much equipment remaining from prior years, when it was turned over to Calvert County in 2000.
